That's the first word that comes to my mind when I think about this book. A girl narrating all of the guys' POVs, trying to make a dude's voice, ain't my cup of tea. A single narration usually isn't my first choice on audiobooks, but it was a good narration. Apparently it wanted to be my last book of the year. I was with this audiobook sitting on my Audible for a while now, just waiting for the right mood. I would love to see it turn into a movie. I really enjoyed this book with its twist and turns.

The narration by Addison Barnes was wonderful. It is an emotional journey of self discovery for Breeze, Chase and Kai and one they navigate with each other. In the midst of all of this grief, danger and intrigue three kids are growing up, grieving and trying to figure out their place in the world. The final epilogue will have you reeling and wishing for more. Pay attention peeps to all the things and you will know who did it and why. I love that there are subtle hints throughout the book as to who killed violet. He is a suspect in Violet's murder but he is also a constant threat to their lives. Constantly intimidating them and coercing them to do his bidding. But there is danger for all of them as Lex, Kai's brother looms as a dark and threatening presence in their lives. Along the way they learn truths about themselves and discover bonds and love. Getting into the headspace of these poor grieving kids while they uncover the layers of Violet - their dead, very complicated and troubled friend/girlfriend/sister was a sad but intriguing journey. I loved that that we get to experience this emotional ride from 3 perspectives.- Breeze, Chase and Kai. Being the Sherlockian girl that I am, I figured out the "whodunnit" part fairly early on but that didn't take away from beauty of this book.
